Transparency

mode.parano publishes free guides on privacy and online security. Here is how the project works.

How it is funded

Some guides recommend services (for example a VPN or a personal-data removal service). When that is the case, the link is an affiliate link: if you subscribe, a commission is paid, at no extra cost to you. This content is always labeled “partnership” or “affiliate link”.

What I refuse to do

• Say I tested a product when I did not: I describe what the product claims to do and what it does not do.
• Hide a service’s limits or the free alternatives.
• Recommend a product only because it earns a commission.

Current partners

Incogni and Surfshark. mode.parano is not affiliated with Proton VPN: content that mentions it is a plain guide, with no link.

Personal data
